Recently I rented a van at Europcar Spencer Docks. Upon arrival I was attended by Mary who was so friendly and welcoming. She was quick and efficient and made collection a fast and easy process.
Upon return I was greeted by Jimmy, who couldn’t have been friendlier and more efficient. He provided excellent customer service and guided me through the return process with ease. I’m very satisfied and will be back for sure! Thanks and well done!
Fast service, friendly staff. Car was clean and at least two sizes up from what we ordered and paid for. Easy to get to. Opening hours were a bit tight, but probably okay for a car rental in December and during Covid.
I would highly recommend Europcar Dublin City. I recently had to pick up a replacement car late at night due to a minor accident and was so well looked after by the staff. Professional and very pleasant to deal with. Great customer service!

We recently had a rather large, last minute issue with another rental company while in Dublin that led to us having to find a second rental card to pick up in the city basically immediately, and return to Belfast. After spending a long time calling everywhere, Mary at the Spencer Dock location came in CLUTCH for us. Not only did she save the day, and our vacation, but she was truly such a delight and a bright spot in an otherwise tough morning. She is an absolute delight and a gem and I can honestly say I wish I could keep in touch with her! She was a pleasure to work with and made things SO easy for us. I can't say enough good things about her, I will definitely be going to her directly for a car next time I'm in Dublin.
I hired a car for my husband and myself in Spenser Dock as his sister was very ill. We were travelling from Kerry on the train. Picking up the car was very straight forward and the staff very good.
My sister in law passed away and we were going to have to stay longer than planned. I rang the office and it was no trouble. Unfortunately my husband tested positive for covid and I also got a positive test l. We were unable to stay in Dublin but couldn’t travel home on the train. This is where Vanessa came in like an angel and made it possible for us to drive to Kerry in the rental and when we were better we could leave the car in Kerry Airport.
Vanessa was so professional and kind. She is a credit to Europcar.

Europcar is the reason why I don't own a car since I moved to Dublin. I rented with them more than 10 times in the last 18 months. The Spencer Dock branch is great, they have lots of cars and they are usually very efficient. Their staff is generally very good, especially Mary. I had the pleasure to be assisted by her multiple times and she was always efficient, clear and honest, always with a smile and great conversation! The cars are good, and they never claimed any damage on the cars I rented, but do check the car thoughtfully before leaving the lot, they all have lots of small damages!

It seems weird that Europcar hasn't found a way around the €1500 insurance block on your credit card... almost was not able to rent the car because I haven't used a credit card in ages. They should at least put it in big warning letters before you finish your reservation...
Pick up was quite stressful. We had issues with credit card insurance coverage (only visa global covers Ireland), resulted in us having to book a different more expensive car. The lady and guy at front desk made every effort to get us to pay for an upgrade that they were going to have to give us anyway since they didn’t have the car we booked. Based on this and the reviews we expected the return to be a massive hassle. But were pleasantly surprised when we were in and out in five minutes. The young lady that processed us was lovely.
I'm very happy about the service, always good cars with na option for an upgrade at reasonable price. Very friendly agents.
My parent's came to Dublin for a week and I needed car to rent. I wanted to book a car on europcar site on couple occasions but everytime after filling all necessary details when I want to reserve the car, I was getting notification that authorisation is denied and I should check for spaces between credit card numbers?!
Upon realising it will not be able to book online I went to city centre next day to their reception and Mrs. Mary was very much helpful and friendly.
Paperwork was done in couple of minutes and I have received car keys. Car was brand new with only couple of kilometres passed which come as must pleasant surprise! 😃
Returning car was again quick and easy with assistance of Mr. Axel.

Fantastic experience. This is how a rental car service should be !
Generally they have good cars and good services. However, lately they seem to have changed some of the employees that seem to forget that customer satisfaction is the first priority.
They gave me a car that was fairly scratched. When I asked for a different car they simply refused, reasoning that they don't have any other cars from that class and with automatic gear. Any other provider would've at least made some concessions.
Wonderful experience with Europcar, rented a car for a weekend trip and it was perfect. I had some issues with my credit card at collection but Vanessa who was working that day went above and beyond her duties to help me and eventually we managed to sort everything out. Can't recommend enough, thank you Vanessa!

Fast check in, the check out is very easy to drop off and lots of signs to follow to the Dublin airport. They provide a shuttle to bring you right to your departure gate. Great experience.

I rented a car here in August 2019. I had reserved and paid it via Ryanair. It was a nice car (Renault Megane, manual transmission) and I had an easy time driving it even though it was my first time in left-hand traffic. Also I was positively surprised that upon return, the car was checked for damages immediately in my presence and I was asked to sign the damage report. Unfortunately this cannot be taken for granted anymore. I washed the outside and vacuumed the insides of the car before returning it because it had gathered a bit of sand and dirt over my rental period of 8 days and I did not want to be charged.
All in all, there were no major difficulties except those you can expect if it's not your first time renting a car.
- Picking up the car took quite a while, first waiting in line at the counter, then waiting for the car to be ready.
- Naturally, they tried to sell me an upgrade.
- I had selected the option where you return the car with a full tank - as you should always do! - but had to leave a deposit for petrol anyway, on top of the general deposit. (It was refunded in full after the return, so no problem here.)
- I had to "poke" them for the promised documents afterwards.
In more detail: A few weeks after the rental, my credit card was charged because of some damage (scratch on the roof, probably done by some idiot with a key). I had expected this because I had signed the damage report myself, but Europcar did not send the copy of the damage report (which was required by my damage waiver insurance) until I actively requested it upon noticing the amount taken from my credit card.
On the positive side, I noticed after a bit of digging that at least the invoice can be downloaded from the Europcar website, though I would have liked it better if they had just sent it to me by e-mail, unasked. Because of this hide-and-seek game with invoice and damage report, I deducted one star from my review.
Eventually I was able to claim the damage costs with the insurance, so everything was fine and I had no extra expenses in the end. It was a bit of a hassle, but I don't think other car rental companies are any better, and at least this one could be reasoned with.
I would rent here again.
I was a bit skeptical after reading all the bad reviews but, I decided to rent a car from them in the end. As I need it for a short period of time and for a short distance, I didn't take the extra insurance. The process was fast and we had the car in no time. I took some extra pictures just in case (I always recommend). When we took the car back, we just handed in the papers, they had a quick look at the car and we were out in just under 10 minutes. I recommend renting for them (europcar or carhire) and I will probably book again.
Great Service, Awesome Staff, Great Experience I must say. Just rented a car for a week form this place and it was great from start to finish. The staff were perfect, I read some views here and I feel quite the opposite. I had no issues, thought they were great. Staff are Friendly ,Vehicle was brand new, I upgraded from a small car to a large car and it was Diesel so I saved quite a lot. I wouldn't have known this unless the gentleman that served me didn't actually explain this. I had an issue on return getting back on time and I was late but the process at the end was quick and easy. I will most definitely rent from Europcar again , terrific service from start to finish. Well done to all the staff.
We had a great experience with Europcar. We were able to upgrade for a slightly larger vehicle with a more efficient engine for only $10. They were very helpful and efficient with getting us on the road despite a very problematic group in front of us. They handled everyone very professionally. Drop off was also fantastic, only took 2 minutes. I handed them the keys, they walked around the car, and we were good to go. A shuttle was there ready to take us the rest of the way to the airport, it was wonderful!
It has been the first time I hired a car in Ireland and i have no compliant at all. The car, although it was what i had booked online, it was a new, safe and made my trip a pleasure. Also your customer service is very good and the people who took care of the car arrangement both in collection and in return were really helpful.

Had a rough day and arrived at Europcar hoping for no problems. There were problems due to me booking through an online broker with a debit card. It was my first car rental and I got stressed out but the blonde lady from the Czech Republic handled the situation (me) brilliantly so I want to thank her. Positive experience thanks to a good person.
Everything went well. Booking online from the U.S. went smoothly. I sent a few emails with questions and changes to my booking and always received a quick response. A week before we left I amended the booking to pick the car up a day early and the cost of the car was the same (plus a day). In the U.S. the cost of the car would have doubled! Customer service in Dublin was very friendly and agent was helpful. Car was great.

The staff in the Dublin City Center depot are absolutely delightful and really helpful. I love the fact that everything is transparent and that when we bring the car back we know straight away if there is any problem or issue. Excellent customer service already rented a couple of times and no way I will change my rental company. The staff is one of the loveliest I've seen so far and always smiling even during busy hours. The car was good and did do the job, I have nothing more to say then.

It was the first time I had used Europcar and overall they were very good. The car was almost brand new and in great working order. One point Id like to make is that on the day I had to pay an extra charge for the insurance which I had already paid online. Other that than a great overall experience from start to finish.
Our car was clean, comfortable and ready promptly. While we had some issues at pick-up due to the limit on our card being too low, the customer support was exceptionally helpful and patient. Moreover, drop-off was easy quick. A good experience overall!
I had a great experience. I reserved the car online before our trip and was provided with a brand new vehicle, when I arrived to pick-up the vehicle. The price, fees, and procedures were exactly as described on the website and the staff were very helpful and friendly. When I returned the vehicle, the staff promptly inspected the vehicle, and closed my contract without any issues or complications.

Coming back to drop off the car was extremely stressful and near impossible to find and tried to call several times with no answer and on hold for more than 30 mins so no help at all. Once we finally arrived to drop the car back we were told that customers often have problems finding them but shrug this off as normal without actually doing anything about the issue. They then advised that thrre was some kind of coordinate that can be directly typed into the GPS to find the exact location but that this is not usually supplied to customers.
So great response Eurocar Rentals - Just keep on stressing and unconvincing your customers and don't fix the issues.

Of my three Europcar rentals, this was my best experience. Unlike my previous rental in 2013, my use of a credit card for supplemental insurance was accepted without any issues, which was appreciated. The woman who handled the paperwork was friendly and helpful. The cars that were offered were definitely up to standard, and I enjoyed driving the Volvo S60 that I chose. Based on this experience, I can recommend Europcar, and will be using you again for our next visit to Ireland.
I rent from Europcar regularly and have nothing but praise for the staff at Mark Street branch. Michelle and the girls(and guys!) always go above and beyond to make sure I get my car quickly and can drop it back quickly. They're always friendly and welcoming. I recently went to Avis for one rental because it's nearer my house but came straight back to Europcar because of the excellent service. Not to mention the rates. Keep up the great work!
Very happy with my Europcar Rental in Ireland. I was able to book well in advance. They were responsive to any emails I sent prior to the trip. Picking up the car and returning it was an easy process. I would use them again or recommend them to others.

Welcoming staff with clear explanation for the beginning of the rental. Good car. Return to the airport . A pain. Not clear were the return point was, fee to return it, no shuttle to return to the airport hotel even if the staff told us that it was possible. Overall rating , I will look for other renting car company to be more efficient. Have a good day
The pick up and drop off was efficient and friendly. The car was in good condition and rates were reasonable. I had booked a petrol car and was talked into a diesel. I don't think this was the best deal for me. The other thing that should be more upfront is the importance of having a letter from your visa company to prove the damage waiver coverage associated with your credit card. I had this, but was lucky to have discovered the requirement in advance.
The staff were great the minute we walked in the door, it was obviously let's do a deal Saturday, as we did get a good deal up to an X5👍Same when we handed the car back, very painless, we did learn one thing and it probably cheaper to take their car insurance, we had our own and for this reason they put a block on your CC for a substantial amount, we were lucky as it did not have areal affect on us. Maybe this should be explained better by the check in staff? Anyhow we would be more than happy to rent again and recommend Europcar to others👍
I decided in last moment to visit the west coast of Ireland and I was happy to find Europcar in centre of Dublin. His personnel was very correct, friendly and professional. They find for me the perfect car for our need. The car was perfect clean and almost new. We all felt very comfortably during the trip. in the end , once again, Europcar's people was high standards.

We hit a sheep. Technically a box full of ceramic sheep. Damaged the front bumper. Good thing I rented the car with the full insurance. You have to pay for the insurance anyway. So for 15 euro more and I got piece of mind which ended up working out. The staff was awesome and I was in and out in a short amount of time. They were helpful and courteous. Professionals from start to finish.
Picking up the car was a breeze, the employees were very helpful in helping us get in and out of there with what we needed. Of course there were some "would you like to upgrade?" questions but overall it was a great exchange. While dropping off the car, we barely made it back in time before the office closed but 2 employees took the car for us anyway, even though they were walking out the door. Thank you!

Europcar is the best rental car company I have used so far. Their booking process is very straightforward and easy. The prices are fair. The cars are all in very good conditions and modern. And if you are lucky, you might get an upgrade at the desk when picking up the car. Also a great customer service. Keep on the good job! :)
I had no trouble whatsoever with customer service. The car was ready, clean and full of gas. A Garmin was available, and all went well. I returned the car to the Dublin Airport and a courtesy bus whizzed me to the terminal to catch my flight out.
My only beef was with the car itself, a Citroen Cactus, which was quirky in that the clutch pedal was too close to the drive tunnel, and I constantly got my foot snagged trying to push the pedal to the floor. That aside, it was a lovely car, good economy and great turning circle, easy to park.
I often rent cars with Europcar and I only had positive experiences so far. The staff I dealt with was very professional, efficient and transparent, always available and focused on making my rental experience as easiest and smoothest as possible. Very satisfied.
We were very happy with our rental car and the ease of check-in, friendly staff and quick exit. However, we did not expect it to be closed so early on Sunday and when we returned the car it wasn't very clear what to do. However, we think we did what we were supposed to
and we would not hesitate to rent from Europcar again and recommend it to friends and family. :)

Lombard street pickup location in Dublin is well served by public transport. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The discounted fuel policy (were you pay for the full tank but allowed to bring the car empty) is very attractive, especially for the tourists who might not know the cheapest place to fill up the car, and the price offered is really below the price filling stations charge. Car itself was in a perfect condition and a dream to drive. Overall very positive experience

The staff were patient and helpful and the car was perfect for me. It was a wee bit confusing who the additional insurance policy was with, however. I bought all the extras from the broker, but this didn't seem to be communicated to Europcar who offered me more when I got there. It took a while to figure out what I was being sold. However, the guy on the counter in Europcar took the time to answer my questions very patiently until it became clearer.
Everything was right: quick service, new car, diesel car (I haven't asked for it), correct price of renting, good price for the baby seat. The only thing I'm not happy about is to pay more than 30€ to return the car in another office, because it was in the same Dublin (center vs airport). I was informed about it, but anyway I think is an extra too high for my same city case.
The Europcar Team is always friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. Piotr is a pillar of excellent customer service. He goes the extra mile and absolutely makes sure that the customer is happy. Not only him, but everyone that Ive seen in the office is a delight, for the most part. Rented from Europcar Dublin City for the May Bank Holiday weekend. the whole experience was effortless. Arrived in and colllected the car within 5 minutes was on the road. Drop off took about the same. Car was very nice a 151 Focus and at a reasonable price. No hesitation in renting from these guys again. 5 stars

The staff in the Dublin City Center was so helpful explaining different options insurance. The car was in perfect condition (it was new, only 8 km in the odometer) and drove great for the entire 2000km journey around the south of the island. Return the car at the airport only took me a few minutes, including the time to fill out an accident report damage, thanks to the total cover not cost me anything extra. The bus was waiting to transport to the airport. Finally was more expensive than expected but I would highly recommend Europcar to anyone hiring a car in Ireland.
Have used this Europcar location when they were on Mark St and now at their new location in Spencer Dock for the past four years. Appreciate the friendliness of the staff and that they have a number of automatic cars on hand. Even if you rent casually would recommend getting their privilege membership. The new location would be great for those who are heading on to the airport as the location is on the Airlink route.
Great staff, helpful and informative. Had an issue with a flat tire on a Sunday, service was onsite within an hour and came to the hotel the next day in Cork to replace the tire! No additional charges as we had the insurance. Upgraded car with built in GPS was also a plus!
I had booked online to hire a car for just over a day. we were offered an upgraded car, or to bring the car later as we'd paid for 2 days. The whole process was no trouble and the staff helpful.
The location of the office is handy too in Dublin City Centre. It would be great if you could drop the car off outside of office hours though.
When we rented online, we thought we were finished with expenses. 200 euro later, we were on our way. Rather than being asked if we'd like to return the car full of gas, they said they would just charge us the fee...which I've known to be almost double the cost (not considering we also returned it half full). That said, the man did recommend we get a diesel car to save money. It was a good choice, if estimations were accurate. We bought all the insurance possible, but I was surprised when we got charged for the possibility of roadside assistance, as I wonder what would have been our option otherwise. Nickel and dime, I guess...
I rent a car twice from there. No bother at all. I always take full insurance to avoid any trouble and when you do there is simply no question asked at any time before/after the rental
The experience picking up our car was lovely. Everyone at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was our car had an iffy 2nd gear that grinded when we shifted into every time but once we mentioned it they said they’d fix it. It never ruined our experience and the people we talked to were amazing and helpful and friendly.
Great experience dealing with Con at Dublin city. He went out of his way to provide additional information on places to see and to ensure we were happy with our rental. Above and beyond customer service.

The quality of cars is excellent (almost always new or fairly new cars), but staff has been rude on many occasions, and not only to me but to other people as well.
Also, please have in mind their insurance policy - if you do not want full excess covered (full insurance), be sure to have 1200 EUR free on your credit card (for smaller cars) or 1600 EUR for medium cars. These numbers are subject to change without notice, so make sure to call them before booking anything, otherwise they could charge you very expensive insurance on the spot.
I call this sneaky and non-transparent practice and will never rent with them anymore, but will otherwise give it a try with their neighbor rival - Dollar at 26 Lombard St.
The overall rental experience was pretty good, the price was excellent. The return at the airport was fairly difficult as there are no signs to tell you where the rental return location is and the price per litre upon returning without a full tank was a little ridiculous. The other frustrating bit was after requesting a quote and then booking the rental, I received an offer from them of a lower price and they refused to honour the offered price. Overall a pretty good experience, but a few hiccups that could/should be easily addressed.
Good cars, Swift service, but the policies are awful. You have to buy insurance, if you don't have a credit card as they won't accept excess on your debit card. In some instances they do but only with proof of address(?) and you still need to get some minimum insurance. Also you need to have the pin to your credit card for those of you who only swipe theirs. Not the greatest experience even when renting through a third party provider.
The entire experience was effortless. The staff was most helpful and courteous. Although I had arranged for a moderate vehicle, I was offered a very affordable upgrade and insurance package. I gladly accepted the offer and thoroughly enjoyed a far more luxurious ride... all the bells and whistles for a nominal additional fee. The BMW 5 Series is appropriately sized for traversing Ireland’s narrow country roads. The window decal reminding me to keep to the left was amusing.
My wife and I could not have been happier with the customer service the young woman gave us at Europcar Dublin,nothing was a problem and she had a bright happy attitude. This location has excellent customer service. We needed an upgrade due to a misunderstanding on our part and they were more than happy to help, even after we changed our minds a second time. Despite us being needy and difficult customers they handled the situation with grace, class, and a smile. We cannot thank them enough for their excellent service even though we didn’t make it easy.

Booked the car online in advance. When picking up the car, they told me there was an additional insurance that wasn't available online. It was a coverage that covered everything, for about $20 more, it was worth it to me so I got it. Added GPS when we picked up the car. Overall excellent experience.
Everything was very efficiently handled by the friendly staff and the car filled the bill although I personally don't think that the 7 seater Citroen compares favourably with the Qashqai which had been advertised! My only quibble really is that we were contacted several times on the morning of our return despite the fact that we had been told by the original agent that we didn't need to return til 9am. We did get it back on time and the agent we saw on our return was excellent!
Mary in the Dublin City office is an absolute gem, welcoming, good humoured & exceptionally helpful. This kick started my rental experience in the right direction. Although the car was not full with fuel on pick up Mary made adequate adjustments to the paperwork & represented the company very well with her apology. Would certainly rent again after this experience.
I am a member of GoCar so find the option of using Europcar great when taking longer journeys outside Dublin.
The city centre Mark Street location has been great for me to date and all the staff have been very friendly and helpful, particularly when I've needed to book last minute or extend a booking.

Unbeatable city centre location, with helpful, courteous staff sorting you out without any fuss. I had the car booked in advance, and everything was ready for me when I arrived. Also when returning the car the staff were really friendly and efficient and even gave me a lift around to grand canal quay as i explained i was late for work. I couldn't ask for more.
We have been offered to replace the car webordered (a 1.4 petrol) for a 1.7 diesel + GPS for the price of GPS only. We got a completely new car (Hyundai Tucson) with only 3700km which was very surprising (I have expected a rental to have much more km on it). The car was just perfect - clean and tidy and we did not regret getting a bigger and more powerful vehicle. We managed to get our keys locked inside the car but there was no problem - Marko (Europcar Dublin Center) helped us and we got the spare key in less then an hour and we had no more troubles. Thank you Marko and thank you Markos Polish colleague who helped us even after closing hours. The car had no issues and worked flawlessly, we enjoyed our trip and are very grateful for the service we recieved from Europcar car rental. Thank you!

GREAT SERVICE LOVELY PEOPLE , will deffo return. Didnt have a booking and walked straight in and I got a vehicle with no issues at all, they didnt push any costs on me and I got a good price for a car for 3 days also I didnt need to worry about booking before, the staff was very friendly staff and all round great experience... One lady on the desk forgot her name but she was very friendly and helped me with directions and really showed that she cared. About the agency, and the staff, I am satisfied. I have just a bit of regret for the Insurance. I had booked the car online through the Ryanair website including AXA extended insurance coverage. Terms and conditions were clear: we had to give to the car rental agency a 1300 € deposit using the credit card of the principal driver of the car. Unfortunately something went wrong with my card and the transaction failed. It was not possible to pay cash, and neither to pay with someone else's card. So we had to buy a second cover insurance and we've got no remboursement from AXA. Conditions were clear and there was something wrong with my card. My responsibility, I understand. Nevertheless, a fair and customer oriented service should include any option when something goes wrong to avoid clients paying two times (two different companies) for the same service (insurance). This is something that you (and your partners - Ryanair/Axa) should improve.
Quite a long queue when getting the car. The staff has been polite and professional. Not really enthusiastic of the up-sell tecniques experienced at the reception. Peugeot 308 is a good car, with good engine but the A/C system is not really effective.

I was a bit annoyed that it wasn't possible to use my TAP card to win miles and get a 10% discount but apart from that everyone was very nice and we had a great time doing around 1527Kms. The car ran beautifully, the only catch was that it didn't have a window-swipe in the back, which was strange considering the weather in Ireland. Apart from that we liked it.

Assistant at the counter was fantastic! Even though I had unwittingly cancelled my booking she found me a perfect car available on the day. I didn't recall het name but she did have a stripe of purple in her brunette hair. Helped with directions a few road rules to be aware of and even booked a taxi upon my return to get myself, mother and daughter back to our accomidation. We will be back and will use this branch again.
competitive prices. Location is easy to access and also I think that relatively speaking the service is friendly and efficient which is unusual these days. If you come on a rainy day, keep in mind that there isn't much protection from rain when outside but the office was nice and warm for me
On a recent business trip we used Europcar on Marks St. We found the while experience to be smooth sailing. The vehicle was fit for purpose and the staff were polite and attentive. I will have no problem with using them in the future.
Have rented 3 times in the last few months, so am now editing my initial review. The Northern Ireland fee (which nobody ever mentioned to me on my previous rentals) is a bit silly. They cover themselves with "its on our website", but on reflection I should not have said where i was going. €30 charge actually increased my costs by 55%, ridiculous, for something I neither wanted, needed, or had ever been asked for before.. They are still streets ahead of Hertz in terms of service and price though.
Pros: Easy to pick up and drop off, friendly staff, hassle free
Cons: Even with payment of the full insurance, you still need to leave a deposit. Deposits typically take 7/10 days to be returned, which is frustrating as it makes the overall initial outlay quite high versus some competitors where you can remove the deposit with full insurance.
Very kind and nice staff. We had a problem with my credit card: the staff gently waited for us to solve the problem. I only have to warn you about Dublin's traffic: if you have to come back here, take count of it and plan your travel well. Enjoy.
The online prechecks made it quick and easy when hiring apart from the fact that we weren't made aware we needed a code from DVLA. We hired from Dublin city centre and Vanessa was brilliant! Very experienced. We were upsold but were happy to take it - Very skilfully done;) The car was good and the return although busy was efficient enough
After renting with competitors I was very happy with EuropCar. Great accessible prices (actually better prices than the competitors I used) and car types, easy-going customer service and conviniently located in the middle of city centre. I can confidently say I'll use them again.
As always the guys were fantastic to deal with from start to finish. Mary at the desk is a true professional and there is always a very pleasant atmosphere in the office.

I deal with the Mark Street staff quite often (hiring via GoCar) and they're a very friendly, efficient bunch. I had a really quick and easy interaction on my last visit, but there was still time for some banter and I was given a few cars to choose from, which I really appreciated.
Late at posting this, but my friends and I came here for our Holiday. Peter helped us out and he was tremendous! If it weren't for him, we'd be tackling the country side/ northern Ireland in a non-deisil small compact car with little insurance. You're fantastic for all your recommendations, Peter. Highly recommend this place!

The crew at the rental location are always great, very professional and knowledgeable. The reason for my neutral customer support rating is that the loyalty programme (Privilage account) is a disaster. I have spent 6 months trying to get it up and running with lethargic responses from whoever deals with it. To be fair, one staff member from the Irish call centre has tried to help, but my business is still not recorded, I haven't gotten any benefits, it makes no difference to check in or out, and frankly, I am done. the only thing keeping me is the people on the sharp end in Mark Street.

Everything super nice ! Mark and Petra took good care of me at the dublin city office. Return was without pain since i took the insurance so I could drive at a very good pace on all the roads even the small ones which allowed to get around most of Ireland during my roadtrip. Just a little advice I'd like to give you to avoid any issues in the futur for your company. I'm passionate with cars, so naturally at on point I lifted the hood up to see what's underneath (not much it was a hyundai i20 or 30 haha). But I noticed that the GPS tracking device you install on every car is simply glued on the battery of the car and wired to it. So I'm just telling you this if you don't want a car to go off grid you better put that tracking device somewhere else to hide it better. Thanks hope my two cents of advice will go far with Europcar directors to make a choice and think about that.
Easy enough and cheap, although had to wait around 40 minutes for them as the managers didn't seem to want to help people and the staff were chatting and building rapport with the customers. It was straightforward although allow yourself an extra hour more than you planned to pick it up.
Very helpful assistance by Europcar agents. We've receoved a Very good car. Would have appreciated for the car to be ready by the time it had been ordered for. Also, an earlier clarification about the difference between Europcar's car insurance (provided at the time of the order) and the actual Europecar insurance.
What can I say?just one word... PERFECT!!With practically no time was wasted on waiting i rented the brand new car,since this was the first time that i was renting the car in Dublin,all the questions i had were answered promptly,plus i was given a few tips about places around Dublin. (tips i btw used).So the only thing i can say is thank you Mary at 26 Lombard Street East (next time i'll bring a bottle of wine to thank you properly).Once i returned the car they inspected the vehicle, and closed my contract without any issues or complications.I recomend this expiriance to anyone...You want be sorry.

Great customer service and assistance. We found the signalling to return the car in the airport quite messy and we had a lot of problems to find the car park. However, the assistance at the airport was great and very helpful.

Very helpful staff, for example when they noticed that I will be doing a lot of miles, they offered me a diesel car instead of a petrol car for a very little extra money. Gave me a brand new car with only 4,000 km on the clock, super clean....very good experience.

The car was new, after having retired I realized that there was no fuel, when j returned the car I pointed out the problem and after a quick check they have refunded immediatly the difference that j've paid to fill the tank.

Was upsold to the next car model up for "just €10" but it wasn't clear that this was €10/day until the bill came.Check-in was also quite slow and I was waiting a rather long time, though checkout was fast.
We have now been renting for 5 years and the staff have been so helpful each time I have gone to the airport and city centre office. They go out of their way to get me the car we look for and the right colour etc etc. There was one guy the last day I wen to the airport depot on the desk on the left when you walk in and he was so so so very helpful and nice and friendly, sorry I can't remember his name!!

due the easter weekend there was a waiting line. But you saw that the people behind the desk worked hard to do everything as fast as possible to avoid too long waiting times. At the same time i didnt had the feeling i they where in stress while i got my car! Excelent service! Overall Experience good. Just to highlight a minor one: I booked a VW Golf or similar and got assigned a Skoda Fabia (no brain. it is not similar). In the end I've got, with no big discussion, a Ford Focus 1h old with 50k+ kilometers but at least similar.

Had to wait 10-15 minutes in depot because car was still being cleaned. Car was also giving tyre pressure sensor malfunction alerts which should have been attended to before handover.

Europcar is the standard by which others may be measured. This was my best experience in the 40 years I've been renting cars in the U.S. and across the globe.
My only complain is that you should explain clearer the extra charge you're doing, because every single time I've booked with you I've paid more than I thought I was going to and when I look at the invoice it says I'm paying thing that I don't know what there are, I know this extra charges are not too much money but they're still money.

The care hire didn't open until 8am my ferry was in at 6. 30am. Why don't car hire firms set up closer to where the ferries come in.
The bus transfer at the airport was quite a mess, but other than that good. Nice staff, no hidden moneymaking etc. as known from other rental agencies.
